UFC Champ Shogun Rua's kick registers as hardest strike in ESPN's Sports Science history

UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua stopped by ESPN's Sports Science lab this week ahead of UFC 128 to show off the power he possesses in his hands and feet. Host John Brenkus tested Rua's punching power and kicking power, and one of the numbers was astounding. At 2749 lbs. of force, Shogun's 39 mile an hour kick was the single hardest strike ever recorded in the Sports Science lab. Rua's punch registered at 1169 lbs of force as well. By comparison, UFC Heavyweight Champ Cain Velasquez's punch registered at 2230 lbs. of force on the show. Check out the clip below:
