Additionally, the network will broadcast prelims live from the Heavyweight Grand Prix Finals event at a to-be-determined date and location, as well as the weigh-ins for both events.
Though four fights are currently scheduled for the broadcast, one may be pulled for the Showtime card if no replacement is found to face Maximo Blanco after Josh Thomson pulled out of the event.
The four fights currently scheduled for broadcast are Mike Kyle vs. Marcos Rogerio de Lima, Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante vs. Yoel Romero, Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos vs. Jordan Mein and Amanda Nunes vs. Alexis Davis. One additional fight is also being planned.
"As we continue to showcase some of the sport's up-and-coming talent on our prelims, we're excited to be able to air them live on HDNet," Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker said. "We're excited to give Strikeforce fans even more access to great fights."
The semifinals of the Strikeforce Heavyweight World Grand Prix come to Cincinnati, Ohio, on Sept. 10.
