Breaking down the title picture for UFC?s 185 and 205 lb. divisions

CHICAGO -- UFC on Fox 2 will feature two fights that will decide the next contender for a championship belt, the UFC announced today during a press conference to promote the Jan. 28th event in Chicago.

At light heavyweight, former champ Rashad Evans will take on Phil Davis in the five-round main event. Evans has been promised the title fight before, but injuries and timing problems have kept him from facing nemesis Jon Jones for the UFC belt.

The next middleweight contender will be Chael Sonnen or Mark Munoz, who will fight in a three-round, co-main event. Sonnen already has had a shot at the title, but was tapped out by Anderson Silva. He called out Silva after Sonnen beat Brian Stann at UFC 136, but Silva's shoulder injury will keep him from fighting until June. According to UFC president Dana White, Sonnen did not want to wait for a fight, and the match-up with Munoz made perfect sense.

Dan Henderson, who recently beat Mauricio "Shogun" Rua in one of the best MMA bouts in a decade, was hoping for the next title shot at either middleweight or light heavyweight, but he will apparently have to wait to see how these fights shake out.
