The event was announced by the promotion on Wednesday, and headlining the card will be former UFC middleweight Chris Camozzi in his first fight since being released from the organization, as he takes on longtime veteran Joey Villasenor.
"Everyone in our organization is very excited about hosting shows not only in Texas, but other cities across the country as well," Shark Fights Promotions executive Wes Nolen stated in today's release. "We are geared up for another action-packed fight event and can't wait to make our debut in Albuquerque."
Villasenor returns to action for the first time since September of last year, and will look to bounce back from a forgettable 2010. He had a four-fight winning streak snapped by Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza by decision in his final appearance in Strikeforce, and then lost a second straight decision in his Shark Fights debut in September, dropping a three round fight to Danillo Villefort.
Camozzi was released from the UFC after a submission loss to Kyle Noke at UFC 127 in February, though it came as a surprise as he had won his first two fights in the Octagon prior to that loss.
