Heavy-handed Thiago Michel joins Bellator lightweights

Lightweight prospect Thiago Michel, who's also known as Thiago Michel Pereira Silva, has signed a multi-fight deal with Bellator Fighting Championships, officials recently announced.

Silva, who's also held Muay Thai and kickboxing titles, has posted knockouts in all eight of his career MMA wins.

A debut date and opponent have not been announced.
