Tito Ortiz shocked the MMA world on Saturday night, re-emerging as a serious competitor in the light heavyweight division with a first round submission of Ryan Bader at UFC 132.

The victory, Ortiz's first since October of 2006, not only brought an end to a tumultuous drought of success for Ortiz, but it put even more money in his pocket, as he earned $75,000 for the event's "Submission of the Night." Ortiz knocked Bader down with a short right in close, and as he engaged on the ground Bader's neck was open, and Ortiz pounced and locked on a guillotine choke, forcing a tap under two minutes into the fight.

The UFC had a lot of options for "Knockout of the Night" on this card, with four fighters delivering vicious finishes in quick fashion on the card. Each of the fights saw fighters finish in the first round, with Rafael Dos Anjos taking out Georges Sotiropoulos with a one punch KO, Melvin Guillard destroying Shane Roller and Chris Leben taking out Wanderlei Silva in 27 seconds, but the bonus went to Carlos Condit, who delivered a flying knee to the jaw of Dong Hyun Kim and finished him with strikes against the cage.

The "Fight of the Night" was an easy call, as Urijah Faber and Dominick Cruz each pocketed the $75,000 bonus for their five round Bantamweight Title fight in the night's main event. Cruz ultimately retained his belt, but Faber put forth a great effort of his own, knocking the Champion down in a number of moments in the fight and challenging until the end. But Cruz's constant movement, in and out striking and late round grappling proved to be the difference, giving him the decision on the judges' scorecards and keeping the belt around his waist.
